US state policies for renewable energy dataset

We assess whether U.S. state renewable policies are effective at generating investments in renewable capacity; find that Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) is ineffective; find that Mandatory Green Power Option (MGPO) is effective; Investor-owned utilities respond more positively to RPS than publicly owned utilities; The results differ from previous studies because we control for sample bias.
