I am an interdisciplinary geographer interested in the politics of water provision in large metropolitan regions. As a postdoc at the California Center for Sustainable Communities at UCLA, my research examines the fragmented nature of water provision in Los Angeles County from an urban political ecology perspective. I received my PhD from UC Berkeley’s Energy and Resources Group, where I focused on the impact of water privatization and the shifting role of informal providers in Manila’s low-income communities. I also have degrees in environmental engineering from MIT and Stanford.
