Climate Healers builds solar cookers to distribute to rural villagers throughout India. Our cookers help fight climate change by replacing the wood villagers typically burn to cook food. Not only does this action prevent the release of carbon dioxide, it also helps maintain forest growth. We seek to blanket rural India with our stoves and ultimately eliminate reliance on wood burning for fuel. Our stoves are constructed entirely in India, and come with flashlights and meters charged by the stove itself. We encourage use of the solar stove by paying rural villagers for each hour that their stove is in use. Data is tracked by software included in the stoves, which is uploaded onto the web by our NGO partner. The entire system is closed and encrypted, to ensure accuracy. Climate Healers partners with local environmental NGOs across the country to help us with initial setup, maintenance, and monitoring.
