California Phenology Project

On Tuesday evening (Dec. 11th) there is going to be a public lecture on the California Phenology Project for the California Native Plant Society's monthly meeting.

The meeting runs 7:30PM-9PM at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica (map here).

Interested parties can learn more and RSVP by emailing Brian Haggerty, one of the project's coordinators, at phenology@eemb.ucsb.edu.  Info is also posted on the LA/SMM CNPS website.

With a network of >100 established monitoring sites across California's National Parks and the UC Natural Reserve System -- and with a suite of training/educational materials including annotated lectures, undergrad/grad 10-week seminar modules, data analysis activities, and lab/classroom activities for college and K-12 -- we are particularly keen to engage UC researchers, graduate students, and instructors in the California Phenology Project.

No experience needed....the lecture and workshop are for all levels....from beginners to professionals. You are welcome to attend one and/or both activities.
